The figure of a Taiwanese TKW (Taiwanese Migrant Worker) named Aprilia has gone viral on various social media platforms, including TikTok and Twitter/X.
Aprilia became the center of attention after an indecent video involving her spread widely online. Initially, the video circulated through WhatsApp groups before gaining traction on broader social media.
The video was distributed irresponsibly via WhatsApp messages, broken into three parts. As the video spread, netizens became curious about Aprilia, leading many to seek out her personal accounts and bombard her with comments.
According to JatimNetwork.com, quoting the God Smile YouTube channel, Aprilia expressed that she was mentally distressed due to the influx of negative comments on her social media.
“I know I’m mentally affected, Koh, from the physical insults. I’m not as strong as they think. Seeing those comments has destroyed me,” Aprilia said during a phone interview.
Aprilia confirmed that the video was indeed of her and her former boyfriend. She suspects that her ex-boyfriend is responsible for leaking the video.
During the phone call, Aprilia explained the background of the viral video. She had discovered that her boyfriend was involved with another woman, who became pregnant. When Aprilia confronted him and asked him to take responsibility, he refused and ended their relationship.
Despite multiple requests for her ex-boyfriend to delete the video from his phone, it was eventually leaked and went viral. Aprilia, feeling victimized, confessed that she was so distressed by the situation that she contemplated ending her life.
