Meghan Markle is facing fresh controversy, with allegations of attempting to stifle young students as part of a peculiar public relations move.

2023 has proven to be a challenging year for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, as their popularity has plummeted to an all-time low. Various polls indicate that both in the United States and the United Kingdom, young people perceive the Sussexes as less genuine and likable compared to Kate Middleton and Prince William.

However, the couple appeared to be making a comeback after their recent participation in the Invictus Games, where Meghan delivered a well-received speech to a veteran audience.

Nevertheless, their return to the United States has been accompanied by a fresh wave of negative media attention.

Last week, Meghan faced another issue when her former close friend, Jessica Mulroney, announced the publication of a tell-all memoir, which reportedly raised concerns within the Sussexes’ circle.

Now, Meghan is confronted with a new challenge, following a report from UK tabloid The Sun. The report alleges that Meghan attempted to impose a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on teachers and children as young as five at a school featured in their Netflix show.

The NDA apparently included a clause that prohibited anyone from making negative comments, even on social media, regarding Meghan’s appearance at a New York City public school in 2021. During this event, she promoted her children’s book, “The Bench,” and read it to first- and second-grade students.

While NDAs are common in the entertainment industry, applying one to children, especially first graders, may seem absurd. The specifics of the demands and who was asked to sign the NDA remain unclear due to the limited details provided in The Sun’s report.

It’s challenging to determine whether this is merely another instance of British tabloids seeking sensationalism or if Meghan indeed took excessive precautions during her interaction with young children. The lack of information makes it difficult to reach a definitive conclusion.

In another child-related development, it’s been observed that Harry and Meghan’s names have seen a decline in popularity as fewer parents choose to name their children after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In contrast, Kate and William’s names have maintained their popularity over the past year.

While seemingly minor, this trend might symbolize the broader state of affairs within the royal family.
